It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

Goals & Goal Setting
When your dreams or "end results" are stated generally, in broad brush strokes, like wealth and abundance, friends and laughter, health and harmony, then please, by all means attach yourself to them. Attach, attach, attach. There is no limit to what you can have and no reason to expect anything less.
But when your end results are specific, like the ultimate car, a hot date, or a home in the country, do not attach, do not attach, do not attach.
Material details and specifics are always "how" to get to a grander picture of your life and are never important in and of themselves. They're "cursed hows" disguised as end results. Steps disguised as destinations. By all means, think of them, put them in your scrapbook or on your vision board to remind yourself of the kind of possessions and adventures that are your birthright, but do not give them an importance, through attachment, greater than what you are truly after: a fuller, richer life with all cups running over, the details of which will take care of themselves, when this is your end result.
Know the "wows" not the "hows."

Life's up and downs provide windows of opportunity to determine your values and goals. Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones to build the life you want.
— Marsha Sinetar
There’s nothing wrong with goals and trying to fulfill them – as long as the main focal point of your attention remains the present moment. It’s like being on a journey and knowing where you want to get to, but realizing at the same time that the entire journey ultimately consists of one step – the step you’re taking at this moment. That one step is all there ever is, and so you give it your fullest attention. In other words, the step you’re taking now is primary, the destination – the goal – is secondary. If the destination becomes primary, you will become stressed and anxious and you will miss life. You will suffer, and the destination will not make you happy even when you get there, when you attain your goals.
— Eckhart Tolle
Just put yourself ahead in time pretend that it's next month already, and imagine that the past 4 or so weeks just totally rocked. Every hope you now possess for the coming weeks has manifested. Every challenge was breezed through. Every cool person stayed cool, every trickster became an ally, there were happy surprises along the way, and, you got plenty of sleep.
Put yourself ahead in time, pretend it's next year...
This is how we do it.
— The Universe
Do not be concerned with the fruit of your action – just give attention to the action itself. The fruit will come of its own accord. This is a powerful spiritual practice.
— Eckhart Tolle
How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal and you have to be willing to work for it.
— Jim Valvano
A goal is something that is meaningful, powerful, and transformative. A goal is something that will change your life, your business, your career, or your family in some meaningful way.
The one who prepares for adversity builds not a bridge of retreat, but one upon which adversity advances.
— The Universe
Whatever the mind of man can conceive, it can achieve.
—W. Clement Stone
Goals are clearly defined, they are very specific, and are something you have a process for achieving. They need to be something that is so compelling that if you don't accomplish them you will have made a significant decision in your life as to how you are going to move forward.
The more you see yourself as what you'd like to become, and act as if what you want is already there, the more you'll activate those dormant forces that will collaborate to transform your dream into your reality.
Energy flows were attention goes.
—John E. DeMartini
There is a law in physics which says that water will reach its own level by its own weight.
There is a law of metaphysics corresponding to it; consciousness will externalize at its own level, by its own recognition.
We may call this faith, we may call it embodiment, we may call it whatever we will. There is something in the Universe which responds and corresponds to our mental states. Therefore, it is imperative that we turn from the relative, because TO VIEW LIMITATION IS TO IMPRESS IT UPON THE MIND.
If you hold it clearly enough in mind; if you physically anticipate it, steadily, day by day, there are no earthly hands, nor heavenly for that matter, that can halt its subsequent manifestation into your life.
Just be really, really sure you want it.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Shoot for the Moon: even if you miss you will land among the Stars.
When visualizing, simply imagine the end result that you’re after, as if that world already existed. Feel the joy you’d feel in that world. And never, ever, ever mess with the cursed hows. This is the secret to channeling your power, and mine.
All men should strive to learn before they die, what they are running from, and to, and why.
Money—like health, love, happiness, and all forms of success that you want to create for yourself—is the result of living purposefully. It is not a goal unto itself.
The secret to productive goal setting is in establishing clearly defined goals, writing them down and then focusing on them several times a day with words, pictures and emotions as if we've already achieved them.
To build a mansion in time and space, whether of mortar, gold, or friendships, think of imagination as your blue print, desire as your funding, faith as your builder, and action as proof these duckies are lined up. True expectation always creates action. And fortuitously, when it's lacking, action can help create it.
Goals are new, forward-moving objectives. They magnetize you towards them.
— Mark Victor Hansen
Reduce your plan to writing... The moment you complete this, you will have definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.
Happy people plan actions, they don't plan results.
— Denis Waitley
The difference between can and cannot are only three letters. Three letters that determine your life's direction.
The truth is,you live in an infinitely kind and unspeakably wise Universe that you are a part of, not apart from; where you, yourself, are a creator. And of your countless creations, your life is one. You chose to be here. And infinitely benign and intelligent yourself, your choice was impeccable.
In this greatest adventure of all adventures, whatever you wish for is my command. I am your most faithful servant and constant companion. Whatever you once dreamed of for yourself, can still come to pass. It's never too late to come from behind, and things can literally change for the better in the twinkling of an eye – as you have so often shown us in the past.
You are a supernatural being whose thoughts become things and for whom all things are possible. This, being a creation amongst your own creations, is as good as it gets, because whenever you don't like what's before you, you can simply recreate it. Without hindrance from the past or so called contracts you no longer remember. There are no other rules. There are no hidden agendas. And there are no unknown variables working against you in this paradise you call home, where manifesting change most certainly couldn't be any easier than getting what you think about.
Whatever you're ready for is ready for you.
—Mark Victor Hansen
